Initial Consultation

Heidi is a firm believer in requiring this initial consultation for any Personal Training client. It allows her to get to know and understand the needs of the client better before any real training begins. It is a structured yet informal and non-threatening get together which will cover the following:

  • General personal details
  • Current health/medical issues and previous health/medical issues
  • Injuries: current and previous
  • Current fitness levels and training involvement, and previous involvement.
  • Nutrition evaluation (if required)
  • BODY testing: measurements / weight / body fat / fitness levels / posture / flexibility-ROM
    (not all of these tests are compulsory, it depends on the needs of the clients)
  • GOALS! Very important part.... short, mid and long term
  • Action Plan formulated

Parts of this evaluation can be done via phone or online, if a face to face meeting is not suitable initially. However person to person contact is recommended as it allows a rapier and relationship to be begin and both parties feel more comfortable as they know who they are working with.

From this initial consultation Heidi then goes away and can more precisely plan for the following weeks and months to come.

This initial consultation can range from 30-90min, depending on the client.
It has a cost of $50.
Specific re-evaluations will occur between every 4-12 weeks depending on the clients needs and goals. However on-going evaluation, feedback and goal setting is always occurring.
